His life changed dramatically on September 22, 2015, when his son Lucas passed away unexpectedly. Fortunately, Lucas’s twin brother Gabriel survived but required intensive care. During this challenging time, Elias had to put his business on hold to focus on his family, navigating postpartum depression, PTSD, anxiety, and other mental health struggles. While searching for ways to support his family, Elias came across research showing that massage therapy can help treat PTSD, anxiety, postpartum depression, and other mental health conditions. Inspired by these findings, he began exploring massage therapy training in Westport, CT, eventually enrolling at the Connecticut Center for Massage Therapy. Elias committed fully to his studies, completing a nine-month expedited program while working night shifts and raising his son. As he learned and practiced therapeutic techniques, he began seeing real results in his family’s well-being. Combining massage therapy, relaxation, and faith, he was able to promote healing and prevent further trauma. Since graduating in 2017, Elias has helped hundreds of people with mental and physical health challenges, including PTSD, anxiety, postpartum depression, grief, chronic pain, sciatica, tennis and golfer’s elbow, kyphosis, piriformis syndrome, and more. He believes massage therapy is undervalued and that its potential to improve wellness, recovery, and mental health in communities is often overlooked. Today, part of Elias’s mission is to educate people about the benefits of massage therapy in Westport, CT, promote it as a career, and break the stigma around healing through touch. Through his work, he continues to show how professional massage therapy, combined with compassion and knowledge, can transform lives for men, women, and children alike.
